New Life International Foundation for Children (NLIFC) based in Auburn, Washington is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c) (3) US non-profit organization. NLIFC's mission is to support various non-profit organizations and at this time our primary efforts are going into supporting The New Life Foundation in Moshi, Tanzania. Supporting this program is unique because it goes beyond simply meeting the practical needs of the children. It also provides spiritual growth through a Christian education, a chance to know the Living God, the basis to develop a Biblical worldview, and the life skills necessary to be successful in life, to help others, and to better serve their continent.
New Life Foundation in Tanzania is a boarding facility as well as a place to provide various life skill programs for children. This means that students live at NLF, all day, every day. Not only are their children educated, they are housed, clothed, fed three meals a day, and given the necessary school uniforms. More than 70% of students at NLF are orphans or have substandard health. We contribute to their well-being by providing for their medical needs and by providing food supplements for them daily.
Whenever possible, parents of the students are asked to help contribute to the cost of their child's education. Few parents are able to financially contribute and they often provide crops and labor to assist the school.
Our hopes are that every child is given the opportunity of education regardless of their economical or financial situation. This environment creates a safe place for children of Tanzania to learn the skills they need to be future leaders in their community.
