FOUNTAIN OF LOVE Training and Equipping
The Fountain of Love Department of the New Life Foundation is what is done outside the four walls of their schools and vocational training centers. It encompasses all of the children's workers training, conferences, seminars, workshops, and ministry in the area churches. The Shoos also minister in other nations on behalf of New Life Foundation. The Fountain of Love department also includes the various types of outreach to the children of Africa.
Glorious and Josephine are the teachers of choice of such organizations as Compassion International and World Vision to train their employees to work with children. Many times those workers are not born again when they begin the classes. So the Shoos have had the privilege of leading many of them to the Lord in the classes. The Shoos have trained over4,000 workers for Compassion in various types of seminars. Only about 1,000 have actually received certificates of training in children's ministry, where as the others attended different types of training classes. They host teams of children's ministers in from other countries such as the USA to help conduct training conferences across denominational lines in their country. Ministry to Street Children And Open Air Meetings
Unlike many other countries we have the freedom to share the message of hope to the students in schools and in streets about the saving love of Christ. It is very easy to gather a crowd of children in Africa by simply showing up in the streets with puppets or animal costumes. When a crowd gathers, we sing songs with them, and tell them about the love of Jesus. Normally over 90% of the crowd will respond to the salvation message. We always work with a local church who can then begin the task of disciplining the children and bring them into a loving church family. Also we are sharing on truth about AIDS to the children in the public schools. We have an excellent program that explains to children on their level. Many times we will work with medical teams on this project. At the end of our program, we share the message of hope about Jesus with the students, which is still a freedom we have in the public schools of our country.
